Silvana Quattrocchi Montanaro (Roma, 1927-2018) è stata una dottoressa in medicina e chirurgia, specializzata in psichiatria. E' conosciuta internazionalmente quale insegnante agli Assistenti all'Infanzia Montessori. Silvana Quattrocchi Montanaro  (Rome 1927-2018) was a medical doctor specialized in psichiatry. She is internationally known as a Montessori Trainer to Assistants to Infancy. Questo blog vuole dipingerne un ritratto: in veste di insegnante, per i suoi numerosi studenti intorno al mondo; di madre, per noi i suoi quattro figli; di amica, per coloro con cui ha scambiato il bene dell'amicizia; e sopratutto, un ritratto di lei come persona. This blog is meant to paint a portrait of her: as a teacher, to her many students around the world; as a mother, to us her four children; as a friend, to those who shared the good of friendship with her; and, above all, a portrait of her as a human being.

Questa foto è stata scattata durante uno dei tanti corsi Montessori per Assistenti all'Infanzia tenuti da Silvana in Giappone presso la Yokohama Montessori School del Professor Takane (nella foto, con il parasole). This picture was taken on occasion of one of the many Montessori Assistants to Infancy training Silvana gave in Japan at Professor Takane's Yokohama Montessori School (Professor Takane is the one holding the sunbrella). Qui sotto, due foto dell'Istituto, anch'esse datate maggio 2000. Here below, two pictures of the School, also dated May 2000.
